3 days left until the Dakar Rally 2017 Starts. Cyprus Team’s first day in Asuncion
Having arrived to the last pre-race destination a night before, the entire team, now joined by its final member – Stefanos Melikidis (who will act as an official videographer and journalist), woke up with the sunlight on the morning of the 29th of December.
During the breakfast at the hotel in Asuncion the daily schedule was discussed and decided upon and the team was split into task groups in accordance with the targets and goals to be accomplished. The mechanics and an electrician were to take care of the racing vehicle, performing last minute checks and tests, in order to bring it to the best possible condition.
Team manager, accompanied by the photographer, who also acted as a translator went out to the city to get supplies for whatever the entire team would require during the race.
And finally, Roman Starikovich and Bert Heskes were tasked with getting all the requirements ready for the scrutineering procedures and preparing themselves mentally and physically for the first day of the race.
The scrutineering is set to take place today. Keep up with our updates!
