Autolife Team: Starikovich-Heskes, the fist Cyprus crew at the Dakar Rally

On the 23nd November, Mr. Roman Starikovich, the pilot of Autolife Dakar.Team, the first ever team from Cyprus to partake in The Dakar Rally, attended an official press conference of The Dakar 2017 participants in Paris, France, where he was joined by the likes of Nasser Al-Attiyah and other celebrated cross-country rally champions. During the press-conference the team was assigned a lucky number of “376”.

Two days later, in the port of Le Havre, official ASO scrutineers conducted a procedure of technical checks. After almost 12 hours of thorough inspections, both the Dessert Warrior racing vehicle and the support truck were admitted on board of the vessel en route to South America!

It is indeed a wonderful news for our island, since now we have our own citizen to support at the biggest motorsport competition in the world! The Dakar Rally 2017 starts on the 2nd Janyary in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay.
